Beyond the Virtual Background: Leadership, Authenticity, & Your Voice

With stops and starts, the nation is reopening. We've lived and worked in Zoom, where we could mask the often messy realities behind us--dirty clothes piles, children's toys, aging furniture.

But we're re-entering a different world. Though we better understand the differences between lived experiences, challenges remain. Our own findings in the 2021 Prospanica Workplace Inclusion & Equity Report reveal the sometimes difficult contexts Latino professionals face in the corporate environment.

As we re-enter offices and boardrooms, we may have forgotten some of those professional norms, but they weren't working for everyone anyway. Now, we have a new opportunity. We can stop hiding what's in our backgrounds. We can choose authenticity and lead as we are.

COVID-19 In-Person Precautions

Your safety is paramount to us.  Please know that we will be taking every precaution possible to insure a clean safe environment to conduct our in-person Leadership Summit.  We are following the CDC recommendations and guidelines. We have also partnered with the hotel and other agencies to keep our meeting areas safe and clean.  We plan to do all of the following:

1. The Westin Irving Convention Center Las Colinas has a "Commitment to Clean" where they have hand sanitizer stations, social distancing, and a contactless experience.  Please click here for the Westin's website that will explain their "Commitment to Clean" in detail.
2. Prospanica will institute a strict mask mandate.  Everyone will be required to wear a mask at all times during the Summit (with the exception of meals). 
3. A COVID-19 vaccine or proof of a negative COVID-19 test will be required to attend.  Prospanica has partnered with a leading health pass agency in order to confirm vaccination and negative test records.  You will be asked to install the health pass app on your smart device.  There will be a process to upload and confirm your vaccination and/or test records. If you plan to submit a negative test, it must have been taken within the last 72 hours before attending the event (by March 7, 2022).  Prospanica will be in touch with more detailed specifics on the exact process closer to the date of the Leadership Summit.
4. There will be a color-coded system that will allow everyone to know how comfortable each individual is with distance and personal spacing.
