Jennifer Lopez-Reed | Chief Operating Officer & Sr. Advisor, Eli Lilly & Company
Jennie Lopez empowers diversity and engages employees and organizations to achieve new highs. This passion is navigating her through a successful career in the Pharmaceutical Industry. In parallel she has also found success in Dancing (former NFL Cheerleader) and Fitness (currently Zumba Education Specialist). She embodies "Bring Yourself to Work" in everything she does. Jennie is originally from Puerto Rico and moved to Indiana to complete her Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering at Purdue University.
The majority of her career has been in Manufacturing & Quality leading different organizations in operations, engineering, automation and quality at different manufacturing sites in both Eli Lilly and Elanco. She was the site head of a plant site in Kansas City where she led a major transformation and managed a parenteral plant in Indianapolis through a culture change and 50% volume increase for the biggest company revenue product. She has also been able to lead several efforts as a Six Sigma Black Belt. She recently transitioned to the Diabetes Business Unit as the Chief Operating Office and Sr. Advisor for the Connected Care and Insulins Product Development Organization. In this role she leads cross functionally towards the innovation and execution of their entire product portfolio and also leads the global strategy on how to implement this new technology in markets outside of United States.
Jennie is also a board member for the OLA (Organization of Latinos at Lilly) and is leading a company effort to develop and accelerate LatinX/Hispanic talent. Finally she enjoys making memories with her family Brad, Izzie (9), & Ethan (6)- they are the why and fuel for everything she does.
Gary Cardenas | CEO, ProTrans International
Gary began his career with ProTrans International in 1996 as a Business Development Mgr., quickly becoming Director Of Sales and then Vice President of Sales/Marketing before leaving in 2009/2010 to become Owner and President of TOC Logistics International, Inc. In 2017, he returned to serve as President of ProTrans, integrating TOC into the ProTrans Holdings operations. In 2019, ProTrans named Gary CEO.
Gary is an accomplished supply chain solutions professional with over thirty years of increasing responsibility in the International/Domestic logistics industry. He has a strong background in operating environments and is proficient in establishing continuous improvement processes and quality-based problem-solving. He also has a keen understanding of, and can effectively penetrate internal and external business practices and industrial processes to maximize revenues, improve operations, and strengthen business relationships.
Gary received his education in International Marketing from William Rainey Harper College and National-Louis University.
Christine Krull – Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Roche Diagnostics.
As Roche Diagnostics has adopted a stronger and more focused approach on diversity and inclusion, the company has seen increased employee engagement and involvement. In Indianapolis through the organization’s seven Business Resource (BRGs) they have engaged more than 2,000 employee members to be a part of the Diversity and Inclusion strategy and made significant progress in talent acquisition, talent development and building an inclusive culture.
Christine “Chris” Krull is Head of Diversity and Inclusion and a member of the Diagnostics HR Leadership team at Roche Diagnostics in Indianapolis. Chris has spent most of her nearly 20-year career at Roche in leadership roles providing oversight to operations, developing to build high-performing teams, service- and customer-focused strategies, and championing inclusive leadership.
As Head of Diversity and Inclusion, she consults with others across the Diagnostics organization to develop strategies that will increase diversity and inclusion within the business. This includes influencing workforce talent management strategies and workplace practices, and Roche’s culture and workforce diversity. Chris has a passion for creating implementing corporate initiatives that have demonstrated positive impact on purpose. She believes this kind of environment is necessary in order for people an inclusive environment where all employees feel a sense of belonging and to contribute to their fullest potential.
Chris is a Purdue graduate and resides in Carmel with her husband Brian and daughters Kaelin and Kamden. She is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys camping and hiking with her family in her free time.
Elias Serrano | Chief Executive Officer, MS Inspection & Logistics
Elias Serrano serves as the CEO of MS Inspection & Logistics Inc and Pro Talent Group. A minority woman owned company, specialized in light industrial staffing, e-commerce, packaging and professional staffing.
With a strong passion for people and Human Resources, Elias recognized the career advantage in 2001 to relocate to Indianapolis for an opportunity to help the Founder and owner, start the staffing company, known today as MS-IL Staffing & Packaging. Prior to becoming their CEO Elias served in multiple roles (Recruiting, Sales, HR, Operations), allowing him to gain the required experience necessary for the role he assumes today.
As the company expanded into new territories, Elias oversaw the kick start of each of its new locations by hiring and training its branch office professionals. In addition to partnering with sales on implementation of new business and onboarding of all new clients, while managing its Indiana operations and serving a dual role as the company’s Vice President of HR and Director of Operations. In 2012 Elias received a promotion making him the Chief Operations Officer of MS Inspections & Logistics Inc.
Today, Elias is focused on expanding the company’s footprint by developing and improving brand awareness, introducing new market verticals, forging business partnerships and growing its leaders within the organization, creating opportunities for its full-time employees, and temporary employees alike. As a member of the LGBTQ community Elias and his partner of eighteen years have helped many of the young LGBTQ professionals with career opportunities and mentorship. When Elias is not working, you can find him enjoying a book, listening to a podcast or traveling. He also enjoys quality time with his friends, family and his two Chihuahua’s Paris and Coco.
Paul Hevesy, Vice President of Human Resources - Stanley Black & Decker
After nearly 20 years of experience in communications, sales and operations leadership, leadership development and change management, Paul has realized how much he still has to learn. Currently Paul is the leading Talent Acquisition, Leadership Development and Organizational Effectiveness for Stanley Black and Decker’s (SWK) global security business headquartered in Fishers, IN. For the last 10 years, Paul and his wife Cady have lived in Fishers with their four children, two dogs and spend most of their free time just trying keep pace with all the great opportunities a full house has to offer.
