Instructors:
Michael Dillon, EdD, Lecturer II, Central Michigan University
Dr. Michael Dillon has been a professor at Central Michigan University since January of 2016 for the Master of Science of Administration program. Prior to his current role, he has served as an adjunct faculty member at various universities. He has a work history in higher education and finance, has taken leadership roles in multiple non-profits, and has numerous academic publications and conference presentations. Dr. Dillon holds an Ed.D. in Adult Education and Human Resource and Organizational Development from the University of Georgia, a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University, a Dual Bachelors of Arts in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh, and recently completed a Project Management certificate at Central Michigan University. He is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and currently resides in Midland, MI with his two teenage children where he enjoys biking and exploring Michigan.
Linda Gunn, PhD, CPHRM, ACC
Dr. Linda Joyce Gunn is a course instructor in the College of Health Professions for WGU. She earned her B.S. in Operations Management from Indiana University; M.B.A. in Finance from University of Notre Dame; and Ph.D. in Organization Development from Union Institute and University. Dr. Gunn, also, earned the designations of Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) from the American Hospital Association and the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) from the International Coaching Federation. Linda has worked in management positions for both private and not for profit organizations with her most recent experience in a 600 bed hospital as Director of Risk Management/Physician Services. She has taught in both traditional and nontraditional settings for almost 25 years. Linda has been involved in curriculum development for leadership, management, diversity, healthcare, financial management, strategic planning and more!
Richard Santiago, PhD, MS
Dr. Richard Santiago is an educator with extensive leadership experience in multicultural environments. Dr. Santiago has served in leadership positions for domestic and international organizations since 1990. His international assignments have provided him with unique opportunities to work with people from different cultures in organizations such as the Saudi American Bank, the National Bank of Kuwait, and the International Security Assistance Force, which included NATO members from 28 different countries. He also served in the military for over 25 years. Today, as a Branch Chief and Resource Manager, he supports global operations for the United States Army Intelligence and Security Command. Dr. Santiago has also been with Central Michigan University (CMU) since 2016 and has been facilitating career-oriented courses for adult students from North America, Central America, South America, Africa, Asia, and Europe as far back as 2009. His courses are focused on developing skills in areas related to Cultural Diversity, Leadership, Contemporary & International Management, Globalization, Administration, and Strategy, among others. He holds a PhD in Business Management with specialization in Leadership from Capella University and a Master of Science in Administration with specialization in Leadership from Central Michigan University. Dr. Santiago is bicultural and bilingual, internalizing cultures from Puerto Rico and the United States and speaking Spanish and English.
Sarah S. Spradlin, DBA, MA
Dr. Spradlin is a leading expert in the study of emotional intelligence as it relates to talent acquisition and succession management planning, transformational leadership & organizational resilience. She is a published author and member of the Society of Industrial Organizational Psychology, Society of Emotional Intelligence, the Emotional Intelligence Training and Research Institute, and the National Defense Industrial Association In 2016, she began working with Mission 6 Zero providing workforce development training to executives and professional athletes across the country. Additionally, Dr. Spradlin continues to serve as adjunct faculty for Central Michigan University where she teaches Workforce Improvement Strategies for Corporate and Non-Profit Organizations, Succession Planning, and Evaluation, Coaching and Mentoring. She attended the Neuroscience of Leadership Program at MIT’s Sloan School of Management, and holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) specializing in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Northcentral University; a MA in Criminal Justice specializing in Narcotics Investigations from American Military University; and a BS in Psychology with a minor in Leadership Studies from Virginia Tech.
Registration:
Registration is complimentary for Prospanica members and students of Georgetown's SCS Journalism students. Non-members are also welcome to register.
Due to seating capacity, attendees will be divided into two Session Groups, 1 and 2. Each Group will cover all four training topics, but in a pre-arranged order.
Training Certificate:
For their participation in the program, attendees will receive a Certificate of Training from our partner Central Michigan University.
Meals:
Although the training is complimentary, snacks and meals are not included. The program schedule allows for sufficient break time for participants to purchase their own meals and refreshments.
