Jadira Hoptry
Vice President of Community and Economic Development, Fifth Third Bank
Jadira serves as vice president and community economic development manager for the Greater Indiana region. Jadira oversees the charitable giving process, the lending initiatives as well as the economic development programs for underserved communities. Jadira also manages the implementation of the $30B the five-year Community Commitment announced in 2016 in the Greater Indiana region. Prior to this role, Jadira was the community economic development manager for the South Florida region, and has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. In her tenure, she has served as a financial center manager, business banking relationship manager, emerging markets manager, and SBA lender.
Jadira earned a degree in business administration from the University of Florida, and received an economic development finance professional certification from the National Development Council.
Jadira currently serves in the Indianapolis Partnership Regional Advisory Council and Project Committee for LISC Indianapolis. Recently relocated this year to Indiana from South Florida, she looks forward to getting connected in the Greater Indiana community. She was selected as Regional Partner of the Year by Small Business Development Center in 2017. Jadira was also honored as Woman of Distinction by the American Association of University Women and keynote speaker at the Hispanic Chamber Women Conference. Married with Scott Hoptry for 26 years and part of a large family, Jadira enjoys spending time with them and boating in her spare time.
Carlos De Leon
Johnson & Johnson, Co-owner ARCLabs
Born in La Romana Dominican Republic Carlos graduated from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia with an Undergraduate degree in Pharmaceutical Marketing and a Masters in International Marketing. Carlos started his career a sales representative with Parke Davis the pharmaceutical division of Warner Lambert in Puerto Rico and then became a marketing associate for the Caribbean Division. He later moves to Abbott Laboratory as business manager for the cardiovascular, Nutritional and Multiples Sclerosis for the Caribbean Region. Carlos was later recruited by Eli Lilly where he took roles in Operational Management, Sales, Marketing, Markets Access. While at Lilly Carlos served as General Manager for Central America and Caribbean and later Senior Sales Director for the United States’ Men’ Health Division.
After 14 years at Eli Lilly Carlos started an entrepreneurial career as a consultant for several medical device companies and along with his wife Lynaris Rivera opened Arcpoint Labs a drug, alcohol, DNA and clinical laboratory in Indianapolis. Most recently Carlos was recruited to manage Johnson & Jonson’s Medical Devices Organization in Puerto Rico and currently manages John & Johnson’s DePuy Synthes Organization in Indiana.
Carlos has served on the as President & Vice President of Puerto Rico’s Pharmaceutical Industry Association of Managed Care Committee and President of the Federacion Centroamericana de Laboratorios Farmaceuticos (FEDEFARMA). Carlos currently serves on the board of La Plaza and SADCO and along with his wife support and look for opportunities to raise funds. Operation Smile and organization dedicated to providing free surgery to children born with Cleft Lip and Palate. Carlos lives in Zionsville Indiana along with his wife and 2 daughters.
Santiago Jaramillo
President, Founder, Emplify
Santiago Jaramillo is the CEO and Co-Founder of Emplify, where he leads a team of mobile engagement experts while overseeing the vision, strategy, and roadmap of the company’s product and brand. Santiago is a nationally-recognized expert on mobile and innovation and was named to Inc. Magazine’s 30 Under 30 “World’s Coolest Entrepreneurs” in 2013. He has also been invited to the White House for his entrepreneurial contributions and was named TechPoint’s “Young Professional of the Year” in 2013. Most recently, he was named to Indianapolis Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” list.
A serial entrepreneur, Santiago has developed and grown multiple small and midsize companies. Most notably as the founder and CEO of mobile app platform, Bluebridge, Santiago grew the company from his college dorm room to become the premier app platform to churches and tourism destinations across the country. Under Santiago’s leadership, the company grew to over 45 employees in four years and nearly 500 customers across the world. In November 2016, Bluebridge church and tourism was acquired by PushPay and Simpleview, respectively, for a combined $8 million dollars.
Santiago has spoken to and trained thousands of CEOs and HR leaders across small, mid-market, and Fortune 500 companies on the importance and business value of employee engagement. In 2013, Santiago was named to Inc. magazine’s “30 Under 30” list and was also invited to the White House for recognition of his entrepreneurial contributions through the Champions of Change program. Most recently, he was named to Indianapolis Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” list in 2015 as one of the youngest honorees in the program’s history and received the award for Indiana Latino Businessman of the Year in 2016. A nationally recognized expert and keynote speaker on employee engagement, Santiago Jaramillo is the co-author of Agile Engagement, an Amazon best-selling book that provides employers with a framework for measuring employee engagement.
Art Vasquez
President, Indiana University Health West
Art Vasquez is President of IU Health West Suburban Area, where he leads the strategic and operational initiatives for IU Health on the West side of Indianapolis. Art is currently responsible for the $84M Vertical expansion of IU Health West hospital, which will add new patient care space necessary to support the growing community on the West side. Art came to IU Health on March of 2016 to fill the role as Chief Operating and Financial Officer with 17 years of financial experience most recently with Community Healthcare System, headquartered in Munster, Indiana, where he served as the CFO for St. Catherine Hospital.
Art is a DePaul University graduate, received his MBA from Purdue University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is actively engaged in his community, serving on the Our Lady of Mount Carmel School Council and Christamore House Board.
Art is married with three children and resides on the North side of Indianapolis.
Donald Jackson
Vice President and Treasurer, Cummins
Donald Jackson was named as Vice President & Treasurer for Cummins Inc. effective May 2015. In this capacity, he is responsible for the Corporate Treasury function including Global Debt Capital Markets, Foreign Exchange & Commodity Risk Management, Bank Relationships, Short Term Liquidity, Corporate Credit, and Pension Risk Management.
Donald has more than twenty years of experience as a global financial risk management professional.Prior to joining Cummins as Assistant Treasurer in September 2013, Donald spent seventeen years with Hewlett-Packard where he worked for fourteen years in various Treasury areas including Foreign Exchange, International Treasury, Pension Risk Management & Reporting, Debt Capital Markets and Global Liquidity Management. In his last role with HP, prior to joining Cummins, Donald spent just over three years as an expatriate in Sao Paulo, Brazil as Country Controller.
Prior to joining HP, Donald worked for six years as a Foreign Exchange Trader in the Capital Markets area at Grupo Financiero Banamex-Accival (a financial institution headquartered in Mexico). Donald has dual British / US nationality. He is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Portuguese. He has an MBA from Rice University (Houston, TX.) and a BBA in Finance with a Minor in Spanish from Texas Christian University (Ft. Worth, TX).
Donald currently resides in Columbus, Indiana with his wife and four children. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Centra Credit Union, the third largest Credit Union in Indiana with $1.3 billion in assets, Su Casa Columbus, a Latino outreach organization and the Columbus Express Soccer Club.
